How many restrooms does a film set need?
Crew size drives the count, same as any construction site job. OSHA 1926.51(c) sets the baseline: one toilet for 20 workers or fewer, then one seat and one urinal per 40 workers as headcount climbs past that. A 30-person crew on a Baton Rouge exterior needs at least two units by that ratio, plus water under 1926.51(a)(1). Productions with named talent usually add a deluxe flushable unit for cast, separate from crew facilities, and a luxury restroom trailer when the schedule runs multiple days at one location. If anyone on set is handling scenic paints or coatings, OSHA 1926.51(f)(1) requires washing facilities for that work specifically, not as a general crew amenity. Where can units be placed on a working set?
